An intentional pause for adventure and depth
Guided women’s backpacking retreats

This is a women’s backpacking retreat for those craving real time in nature and a break from the constant doing
of everyday life.
Over a weekend in the mountains above Ojai, we hike a few miles into the backcountry, set up camp by the river, and slow down enough to create space for what's been waiting. There’s space to move, to rest, to be quiet, and to reconnect with parts of yourself that don’t get much airtime at home.
A supported overnight backpacking experience, guided start to finishShared group circles alongside spacious, unstructured solo timeSimple mindfulness and grounding practices to help you slow down and noticeA small, thoughtfully curated group held with care, playfulness, and intention
“Something really shook up for me on this backpacking retreat.
The experience is pure gold.”

April 25–26 & May 16–17
Once we step onto the trail, your priorities get smaller in the best way. Your job is simple: walk, breathe, notice, and let the land do some of the holding.
With logistics handled and the experience thoughtfully supported, you’ll find yourself settling into your body, in relationship with nature, and back in
tune with yourself.By the end of the weekend, we often hear something like,
“I didn’t realize how much I needed that.”
This retreat is beginner-friendly, intentionally small, and designed so you can show up exactly as you are.
No backpacking experience required.

You’ll need:• A backpacking backpack (~40–60 liters)• A light, compact tent (or plan to sleep under the stars)• A compact sleeping bag appropriate for cool nights (we recommend one rated for 20°–30°F)• A compact sleeping pad• Hiking shoes with good traction• A headlamp or flashlight• Lightweight plate/bowl, utensils, cup/mug and napkin• Reusable, light water bottles• Weather-appropriate layers (including a warm jacket)We can help with:• Gear loans for many large items (packs, tents, sleeping pads, mess kits, etc.)• Guidance on what to bring and
how to pack

• How physically demanding is the retreat? Is this beginner-friendly?Yes. Many women who join us are first-time backpackers. The hike includes some hills and uneven terrain, but it’s very manageable for most people. We hike approximately 2–4 miles each way with packs, move at a steady, supportive pace, and take seated breaks along the way. You don’t need to be an athlete — just reasonably comfortable walking a few miles. Comfort, safety, and care are prioritized throughout the weekend.• What gear do I need? You’ll receive a detailed packing list after registration so you know exactly what to bring. Some gear is available to borrow if needed, including backpacks, sleeping pads, and tents. If you’re unsure about gear or want help figuring out what you already have, just reach out — we’re happy to support you.• What do the activities include? The weekend includes hiking, setting up camp together, shared meals prepared by the facilitators, time by the river, group circles, and spacious solo time. We offer gentle mindfulness and grounding practices, with everything always optional. You’re invited to participate in ways that feel right for you.• What's the group size?We keep the group intentionally small, capped at 12 women. This allows for a more personal, connected experience and plenty of individual support.• Is this therapy?Nope. This is a retreat, not therapy. While the experience is thoughtfully facilitated and emotionally supportive, there is no fixing, diagnosing, or processing required. The focus is on time in nature, connection, and allowing insight to arise naturally.• What happens if the weather changes? We monitor weather closely and plan thoughtfully. If conditions require adjustments, we’ll communicate clearly and make changes that prioritize safety and comfort. If conditions are unsafe, we’ll connect with the group to discuss next steps together.

your spring retreat awaits

Sometimes the bravest thing is saying yes.Saying yes to something that feels nourishing instead of productive. A few days outdoors. Space to move, breathe, and be with yourself. Time that isn’t trying to turn into anything else.If part of you is curious — even a little —
that might be the part worth following.
